Dear Fulbright Alumni & Friends in Berlin,
the Fulbright Commission wants to thank the One Fulbright Community for its continuous support and especially the local alumni:ae of the Regional Chapters across Germany for making countless joint activities happen and for flocking to the events both as guests and active participants/speakers. Therefore, Fulbright Germany has recently launched the “Fulbright IMPACT Series” in collaboration with the Fulbright Alumni e.V that acknowledges the impact of local Fulbright alumni:ae and highlights the work of the community while providing lunch/dinner/breakfast at the same time. The inaugural IMPACT Series event was held in Mannheim and the second event will take place in Berlin next week hosted by the Fulbright Commission itself and featuring Alexandrea Swanson as a guest speaker.
Attendees will receive free lunch and will get the opportunity to discuss the “#SheTransformsIT” Initiative that Alexandrea steers as Co-Managing Director on behalf of the BDI. The goal of the initiative is to increase the share of women in digitalization/IT and Alexandrea has been a frequent and active contributor to the One Fulbright Community in Berlin, for example through her invitation to the workshop “Zeitenwende – German Industry in Transformation: A look behind the scenes” @BDI and her participation as panelist in transatlantic community events. Check out the attached flyer for more information. This event may also be a great opportunity to meet the new Executive Director of Fulbright Germany, Hakan Tosuner.
